DEVELOPMENT ROOTED IN PLAY
We believe all children deserve the chance to lead productive, happy, healthy lives. Our in person and telehealth program models provide Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Skills Training, and ACT along with other evidence based techniques to ensure your child has the best chance for success.
Youth that access the social skills groups get to connect with other peers their age on a regular basis to practice their conversation skills and build relationships.
Parental Guidance meetings give parents the chance to learn basic techniques and review progress in a relaxed setting.

DOES YOUR FAMILY NEED A POSITIVE CHANGE?
Raising a child with Autism and wanting them to be able to access all of the great things life has to offer can be overwhelming.
Your child may be acting out or socially isolated we are here to listen and help!
What Makes Us Different
Positive Reinforcement
No child wants to feel like a failure. Programs based on compliance for the sake of following rules often don’t create a permanent shift in mindset. Our students learn the principles behind rules so they aren’t just blindly following a program’s expectations.
ACT Therapy
Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) supports individuals with autism to develop greater flexibility of thinking. It can teach you to how to reframe and rephrase your thoughts so that you can better understand how they are affecting you.
Access to Intensive Therapies
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the practice of applying the psychological principles of learning theory in a systematic way to modify behavior. Applied Behavior Analysis approaches focus on changing behaviors by understanding what happens before and after the behavior. ABA has the most evidence for treating symptoms of ASD.
Opportunities For Growth
We offer increased opportunities to build Life skills, Social skills, and Coping skills.
Through our Rooted Play program children can create relationships with peers and work on their interactions in a controled enviroment.
Through ACT youth of all ages can learn psychologic flexbility.

Who Are We?
Amy Thompson, BCBA
Amy has been an advocate for the behavioral health field for the last decade. She is passionate about providing support for children in the least restrictive and nuturing settings.
Amy saw a need for a more holistic and naturalistic approach to ABA that meets children where they are at. ROOTS is working towards redefining ABA across state lines and helping youth reach their full potential through compassion, innovation, and collaboration.
